Sawyer Howitt’s Advice to Young Entrepreneurs
Young entrepreneurs enjoy unmatched energy and physical resilience. According Sawyer Howitt, this is what young entrepreneurs need to do to succeed. Just start. Instead of waiting for the right moment to start new businesses, young entrepreneurs should start their entrepreneurial journey with the resources and skills they have. The right moment never arrives.
When hiring employees, young entrepreneurs should hire the most qualified candidates and strive to make them happy. Also, entrepreneurs should hire employees according to the culture they want for their business. According to Sawyer Howitt, entrepreneurs should arrange special events for their staff, and more importantly, they should reward their achievements. Happy employees are more dedicated and work harder.
Maintaining focus is very important in entrepreneurship. When an entrepreneur has numerous great ideas, diverting energy from one project to another is very easy. Instead of pursuing a couple of ideas at the same time, young entrepreneurs should focus on one idea to its completion before turning their attention to another idea.
Entrepreneurs should also mind their numbers and pay close attention to them. Things like payroll, inventory, and start-up costs are very important in business. Key performance indicators drive results and entrepreneurs should pay attention to them as well.
